Wow; I never imagined that I would get this many comments. Due to a variety of reasons, an executive decision has been made, and this giveaway is now closed as of 8AM PST on Wednesday. Thanks for playing!

It's my first giveaway EVER as a blogger! Shannon, over at Rocks in my Dryer, is hosting the "Fall, Y'all Giveaway" -- the fall version of one of the biggest "carnival" giveaways out there in the blogosphere. (Right, I know. I just used the word "blogosphere." Sorry.)
So what am I giving away? I recently came across an extra copy of the book The Call by Os Guinness. As I am just now starting to get into the book, I can personally say that it's a good one. If you want to check it out, you can find it on Amazon here.
So, come out, come out.... and comment! I know everyone likes free stuff.
(Oh, and if you're interested in entering other giveaways for other cool free stuff, check out the Fall, Y'all Giveaway link above!)

please, please count me in.
My favorite book of all time is "To Kill a Mockingbird". It was an assigned book to read in freshman year, but I read it in 4th grade. LOL. My Mom was a librarian, so my reading levels were always higher than the other kids due to reading so much!
Hope to win. This book looks great!
Check out my giveaway, too.

i would love to be entered... in high school i read my first Dean R Koontz book. midnight. LOVED IT! got me hooked on him forever
Hmmm, I've never read an Os Guinness book, but I've heard he is a great author!
High School was SO long ago, I'm not sure I can remember. I was really into Ann Kiemel and Corrie Ten Boom then. And I wasn't interested in the great classics like I should have been.
The House of the Spirits--great book!

I read the Clan of the Cave Bear Series, some Jane Austin, and who knows what else. This sounds like a great book though, something I need to read.

Never heard of this book, but sounds good :) I LOVE reading, especialy fantasy/sci-fi stuff like Anne McCaffrey's work and Ender's Game.
My favorite book in high school was The Iliad. Geeky, I know, but I loved all the adventure!
Wow - free stuff really brings anonymous blog-readers out of the woodwork! I love this idea and I also want to say "fall ya'll" as many times as I can over the coming weeks.
Well, I didn't read about 85-90% of most of the stuff we were supposed to in high school - yup - definitely regret that one but I did enjoy Great Gatsby and Jane Eyre.
Current favorite song - yikes. I can't make commitments like that.
I think I want the mix CD more than the book. Pick me!
I think I remember liking A Tale of Two Cities. Oh, and I don't think I actually liked whatever Shakespeare play it was, but I remember having a lot of fun making that video in my house where we turned a scene into a Star Wars theme! Any chance you still have that video?
Favorite song...no idea. But I really love mix cd's!

Wow ... my favorite book from high school ... well, truth be told, I didn't enjoy much of what we read back then! So the most memorable read - The Metamorphosis by Kafka because that book has stuck with me LOL!
Favorite song - oh, I have about a million of those! =)
Thanks for hosting this!
My favorite book was The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Thanks for the great giveaway!
We all know that I am the only one who consistently comments on your blog... so seriously no fair weather fans please.

Favorite Book: Strength To Love by Martin Luther King Jr.
Favorite Song right now: Peter Gabriel The Book of Love
We love books in our house.
Please enter me. I love books. My favorite book I read in high school was The Count of Monte Cristo. I loved that book. The one I hated in high school was The Good Earth, but I've read it again recently and I actually loved it. Those are my two favorites from high school, even though one didn't become my favorite until recently.
I'd like to enter. I'm currently reading "an abundance of katherines" which is a fun one.
